Real Wedding Published on California Wedding Wave

Thank you to Ceremony Magazine for choosing to showcase this gorgeous Surf and Sand Wedding on the California Wedding Wave. Natalie & Phil had  an amazing beach front wedding ceremony and an amazing reception, coordinated and designed by Natalie Good with A Good Affair this past August. Natalie's doggy was also her flower girl! I loved this wedding and I chose it on my website as one of the "featured" wedding galleries. What's In Your Photography Bag?

I thought it would be fun to share what is in my Photography Bag. A lot of people ask me what I shoot with and what lenses I prefer, so here you go. This is my travel Lowepro backpack, I strictly use this on plane flights as I can never separate from my camera equipment and this backpack fits in the overhead compartments.Getting ready to fly and shoot 2 weddings and 12 photo shoots in 5 days, which has become a usual occurrence for me. So here is how I pack my bag to travel. I will be writing a follow up blog soon on how to travel with your equipment and keep your images safe! Since I have become more of a destination photographer, I have shot in different countries and regularly shoot out of state. Traveling with your equipment and already shot images can be very tricky and you need to be prepared for the worst case scenarios! While shooting I like to use my Kelley Moore bag if I have an assistant, and I prefer my Thinktank which is handy for all my lenses when I shoot alone and have no assistant.

What I shoot With:

Canon 5D Mark II
Canon 5D's as Backup
Zoom Lens 70-200 2.8 ~ Most Preferred
Zoom Lens 70-200 4.0 ~Backup, Used for Travel
Overall Lens 24-105 4.0 ~Larger Group Shots
Macro 100 mm 2.8 ~For rings and close ups
Wide Angle 14mm Fisheye ~Room and Venue shots
2- 580EX II Flashes
Gary Fong Whales Tale~ Have shot with it for years and cant shoot without it.

Not Pictured: Canon 50mm, Think Tank easy shoot waist bag, Kelly Moore Bag, Over 100GB of Chip Space, plenty of camera batteries and chargers

Leave a comment and share what is in your Bag!

Boise Family Photoshoot

I love this shoot I did of this cute family in Boise!!! I don't typically shoot to much in Boise as all of my clients are in Orange County, but Kelly with Cherished Images is also a fellow photographer and we swapped family shoots. Neither of us had had a family shoot in years.....We are like Plumbers with leaky faucets. :) I had a great time shooting at this old condemned oil factory off the beaten path and next to the Boise River, so we were able to shoot at both locations just steps away. There will be a follow up blog of Kelly's images of my family very soon. Thanks for a great time and beautiful images!

OC Register Features My Work- City of Brea Sculptures

The City was looking for a local photographer with the skill and vision to convey the unique design elements of 3 dimensional sculpture in 2 dimensions.  Jaimee was more than qualified, warm, and enthusiastic about the somewhat daunting challenge of photographing approximately 100 of the nearly 150 sculptures throughout Brea.  She was also incredibly generous, donating her time to edit all of the photos.  On a personal note, it seemed to me that this project was a labor of love for Jaimee, not just another job.  This left a lasting impression, and it shows in the photographs.  The photos are used frequently as educational tools for the Art in Public Places Collection and to provide to members of the media.

The City of Brea in Orange County, California; has a city policy for over the last decade that any new development must have a sculpture or piece of artwork. The city boasts nearly 150 amazing sculptures and works of art from all different artists. It adds character to this amazing "small town" feeling bustling city. I LOVE BREA and lived there for over a decade. I shot almost 100 of these unique sculptures and documented their location for the city of Brea and loved shooting objects for one of the first times. It was a great project and I am excited that the Orange County Register has featured my work. Check out the link below to see the amazing sculptures, and the ones I shot are credited. Thank you to Trinitee and the city of Brea for your write up and featuring me on the City Website and in the Newspaper.
